TRUE HUMAN

SUPPER TALKS, JAM SESSIONS & Permaculture education FOR THE CHILDREN OF ABRAHAM

COMING AUGUST 2025

A new table is being set in Brooklyn.

Muslim. Christian. Jewish.

Arab. Hebrew. Human.

In a world frayed by conflict, we gather—young hearts from different traditions—around food, faith, and shared ancestry. True Human is a series of weekly or biweekly supper talks for high school students in New York City, uniting youth from Arab Academies, local yeshivas, and beyond.

We’re not debating.

We’re breaking bread.

We’re not erasing differences.

We’re honoring them—and evolving together.

What to Expect

  • Free shared meals featuring traditional Arab and Jewish cuisine

  • A beautiful, biophilic space in post-industrial Brooklyn.

  • Live jam sessions — bring your voice, instrument, rhythm

  • Somatic practices for emotional awareness and embodied connection

  • Dialogue circles drawing from the Torah, Bible, and Qur’an—seeking living wisdom

  • Permaculture education sessions introducing students to regenerative planting practices for resilience-applicable in refugee camps, drylands, and urban spaces

  • Teachings on how ancient stories can guide modern health, happiness, and conscious evolution

  • All costs covered: food, venue, and transportation

A Metamodern Perspective

This isn’t just interfaith. It’s interbeing.

We are looking to the sacred texts not as relics—but as keys.

  • To unlock a more integrated awareness,

  • To spark joy and courage in the heart,

  • To remember what the prophets dreamed: A future where we live well—together.

Through food, music, gardening and breath, we cultivate a new literacy of peace,

One rooted in relationship, emotional intelligence, and spiritual responsibility.

This is metamodernity: reverent, playful, evolving.

Who’s Invited?

  • High school students (grades 9–12)

  • Arab Academies such as Khalil Gibran International Academy, local yeshivas, and NYC-area schools

  • Youth from Muslim, Christian, and Jewish traditions—and any student devoted to peace, wisdom, and growth

  • Church, Mosque and Synagogue youth that are high school age and seeking an experience of interfaith connection and the opportunity to share their passion for their faith
